The Osteopathic Internship Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg is a traditional rotating internship on the campus of a community hospital that is enjoying tremendous regional growth. Interns rotate through an intensive schedule grounded in internal medicine and surgery, with valuable learning in pediatrics, family practice, emergency medicine and OB/GYN. Flexible selective time broadens this rich, educational experience.

Muhlenberg is a vibrant campus that is growing with leading clinical services such as The Regional Heart Center, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Specialty Care Center, a 65-bed Behavioral Health Science Center and an expanding intensive care unit. Interns enjoy tremendous opportunities to network with training programs on this community campus, as well as on the campus of out network’s tertiary hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center.

Our program offers a unique, one-on-one teaching experience with a faculty committed to medical education. Interns benefit from our formal connection with residency programs in emergency medicine and dermatology and from our affiliation with Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network and the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.
